Requirements:
1.) Active connection to Lyoko.
2.) Understanding of Vmap and valid targets
Energy transmission is an important tool and can be used in numerous ways. It's critical to understand how this tool works and when to use what parameter.
Lets start by opening transm
Take note of the two orange boxes, the top one is for the target and the second is for the mode.
Lets target a tower for our energy to go to with transm.to.<sector>.<towerNum>
Example: transm.to.forest.1
In the bottom right we have our target for what's going to be getting the power.
Next we execute it with transm.exe
to allocate 1000 energy to the tower.
On the superscan window you can see the name of the user and how much energy they are allocating to it.
Here we can see "Jeremy: 1000", and if you look at the terminal, you can see how much energy is left. In our case, we're left with 4100.
In this example we can run transm.exe
up to four more times before needing to get power from other places.
transm
can be used in modes. Solo and Combined. Commands are transm.mode.solo
& transm.mode.combine
respectively.
transm.mode.solo
is automatically applied when launching transm
.
transm.mode.combine
is used when you want to divert computing power to a target, such as building the skidbladnir.
To select the skid, type transm.skid
.
In this mode you have to select any 4 towers from any sectors. transm.to.<sector>.<towerNum>
.
Example:transm.to.ice.1
transm.to.ice.2
transm.to.ice.3
transm.to.ice.4
Once transm.exe
is ran, megascan will simultaneously show 4 neutral towers. Notice they don't have names next to them as they aren't technically being used by a user like Jeremy, Franz, or Xana.
So we are going to be using the steps just above this for combine mode to overload his poor little jellyfish brain and blow 'em up.
The skids shields are on a timer, and you have to type quickly. Or pause the game while you read here.
You must have at least 4000 energy to activate the 4 towers.
If you have 4100 energy when the scenario starts, you might have only 2600 energy, as the drain from the scyphozoa costs 1500 energy.
So the obvious thing here is we are going to turn off the scanners as we do not need to virtualize warriors there for this process.
Once the scanners are off and you can confirm you have at least 4000 energy:
Open transm
Set the target to to the skid with transm.skid
Designate 4 towers with transm.to.<sector>.<towerNum>
.
Example: transm.to.ice.1
transm.to.ice.2
transm.to.ice.3
transm.to.ice.4
Once the towers are highlighted with green like above, run transm.exe
and boom.
This energy comes from the super computer and the available energy can be seen on the terminal window. So, if we unload some objects like the overvehicles, turn off some scanners, or delete sectors on lyoko we can get a large amount of energy available.
To see what is using energy and how much open energystat
Here we can see whats consuming how much power. Each of the gray numbers show how much it will consume per item. The green indicates how much is being consumed in total.
For example, the scanners consume 1000 energy each and there's three of them, so we lose 3000 energy. Shutting down the scanners can be useful if xana is trying to overpower your tower. This will help buy you some time, but it's dangerous because if your LWs get devirtualized and there isn't a scanner available for them, they will be lost to the frontier.
If you want to go nuclear about it, you can delete sectors of lyoko for 1800 energy per sector. Doing so will also weaken the core in Sector5/Carthage. I would stick to turning off scanners and make sure the overvehicles are dematerialized.
Now we will shut the scanners down to free up some energy temporarily.
Start with scanners
.
This will bring up the display for the scanners, next select all with scanners.all
You will see they are selected by the light blue border around each scanner.
Optional - You may specify individual scanners with scanners.1
; scanners.2
; scanners.3
Next use scanners.off
to turn off the scanners you have selected.
You should now see the energy available has increased in your terminal window.
Note again though, it's dangerous to have the scanners off as the warriors will be lost to the frontier if there isn't a scanner available for them to devirt into.
This is a way to save 200 energy, but auto-superscan is a feature you may need.
Running superscan.auto.off
will disable auto scanning for activated towers. Additionally you cannot activate towers by running transm.exe
unless you manually scan the tower with superscan.<sector>.<towerNum>
.
You will see “Metascan” no longer consume 200 energy while off.
