Requirement: Have atleast 1 warrior in the factory not virtualized (but not Aelita!)
Not every Xana attack will show the damage done on it's window. Several attacks need to be researched and if needed slowed down.
In this guide we will go through the steps to slow down meteor, powerplant overload and bus attacks.
¶ Preparations
If enabled on startup special attacks can occur when Xana activates a tower that cannot be evaluated on the attack's startup.
As the damage window suggests we should take a look at the tv. For demonstration this guide will have the powerplant overload attack but the steps are the same with everything else.
Launch the tv to find out about the attack type.
As you can see one of the powerplants are getting overloaded with energy. To monitor it you need to open the global map using gmap.
Now you can synchronize the data from the TV with the gmap using gmap.syncfrom.tv.
Now you can see the damage level. If it reaches 100% before you deactivate the tower you will get a game over.
NOTE: Meteor attacks have a timer before disaster and even if you deactivate the tower it will continue! To properly end the attack, use the RTTP!
Now you need to manually head down to the scanners' room and give the laptop to one of the warriors.
Right click on the interface and from the central menu select leave interface.
Now head to the ladder.
Interact with a warrior and then come back to the computer.
¶ Hacking the web
In order to slow down the damage progress we need to hack into the government's system. Launch web.
If you click on the “suggestions” you will see a tab related to the attack type you have.
After choosing the page just scroll down to the bottom until you see this:
Now before we do anything, make sure the TV is open because we will need it after hacking in. Just type tv if it's not open.
To hack inside click on “access” and open the cryptosmasher with crypto. Type in crypto.web and let it do it's job. After that the crypto enters a two and a half minute cooldown.
After it's cracked you need to type in the ID shown on the tv screen into the webpage before the timer runs out.
Double click on the webpage to write in it (or press CTRL+TAB until it's selected)
If the timer runs out and you haven't gotten the information you need by then, you have to hack the system again but this time it will have boosted security. To hack it again, boost the crypto with crypto.boost and use crypto.web again. Make sure to type in the ID this time.
After you typed it in and it says “Sync ready…” you can open the netcontrol. Now type netcontrol.syncfrom.web to sync the data. When it's done simply launch it with netcontrol.exe.
